Rhino FastFloorDF (Decorative Floor) is a two-component, rapid curing, hybrid polyurea coating system designed as a decorative yet durable coating for residential garage floors. Rhino EcoStain ClearCoat Matte is a two-component, waterborne, polyurethane system designed as a durable coating for Rhino EcoStain applications. Formulated with aliphatic chemistry, Rhino EcoStain ClearCoat is a stable clear top coat that resists ultra violet light degradation. Rhino EcoStain provides a long lasting, durable finish to interior and exterior surfaces. It’s odorless, near zero VOCs make it an environmentally friendly choice versus the solvent borne top coats.

Why Use a coating product?

What’s the big deal about using a floor coating? Most garage floors are just plain, simple gray concrete. Eventually garage floors become stained from grease, oils, and chemicals, turning that smooth concrete into an ugly eyesore. Transforming that plain old concrete floor with a floor coating will give you years of service, durability and high stain resistance, and will enhance your home for years and increase your property value. While there are many different types of floor coatings, epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings are the most widely used. Both have properties that make them the best for certain jobs.

Preparation

Regardless of the coating product used, proper surface preparation is critical to the long-term success of any installation. All surfaces that will be coated must be cleaned to remove any contaminants that may cause a problem with the bonding process. We use specialized concrete grinding equipment and dust collection equipment to prep the floor. With our dust collection equipment there is little to no dust introduced to the area. After cleaning and grinding down, the concrete surface must be carefully inspected for any holes or cracks. If any are found on the surface, they will have to be promptly filled and ground level. Once the final preparation is completed, the installation process is ready to start.
